Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment is a great way to start your recovery journey.
My road to recovery started in a treatment centre where the process of breaking down my denial started. If you have an addiction problem I would strongly advise to find a treatment centre as soon as possible.
There are different types of treatment centres, some based on Christian treatment and others on a 12 Step Program. If you read my view on religion you will see why I personally recommend choosing a treatment centre that works on the 12 Step Program. This has worked for me and it has worked for so many other addicts in Narcotics Anonymous and alcoholics in Alcoholics Anonymous.
I will be adding some links and information on how to find a treatment centre near you. This is where your journey could begin but this is just the beginning.
Recovery is a journey and not a destination. It is something that you will need to work on at all times.

Form proven fact that pot even claimed to own healing properties and several medicinal,

Yes I have heard that weed has medicinal properties and is used sometimes for people with cancer for example. I am not so sure about this, haven’t even thought about. Maybe a great topic for a new post. Thank you for bringing that to mind!
I have read that there’s been positive results in the use of cannabis oils and cancer …
Hi Tony
Yes I have heard that too, that smoking it can help with a number of medical problems. I have a friend that smokes Cannabis regularly for a medical condition.

Hello, Lynne!
I don’t know if you watch Dr Phil or not, but he works a lot with addiction treatment and rehabilitation centers all over the United States. He’s a big fan of Hannah’s House and a few others, that don’t just treat the drug and alcohol addiction itself, but the underlying mental illness that lead up to that abuse of these substances as well.
I think it is a great thing that people need to understand too, that a lot of the time addiction stems from somewhere: A lot of that being unhappiness, depression, etc.
Some personality types are more susceptible to addiction, and like you said, it is a journey.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Brooke
Yes I have watched Dr Phil a lot and really enjoy his shows. I agree there are underlying problems that need to be addressed, without that the need to use will not go away!
Kind Regards
Lynne
